I’ve been looking for a dog bed for my girl Callie for months now – designs I’ve come across always seem to be the wrong shape, color, or downright cushiness. Callie’s bed literally resides in the bedroom so I’m hoping to track down something that has that vintage-country look I’m trying to maintain.
I’ve bought a few over time – one, a big doughnut from Costco worked well for awhile before the filling finally scrunched down so much it became useless. Another, a rather pricey rectangle covered in pretty fabric, doesn’t seem to have that comforting feel that Callie likes, so I cover it with blankets and throws to give it more cush.
But I just came across this article in the LA Daily News about doggie bed designs that has me thinking I may have found something that will work finally. The Pear Bed (above) has that nice comforting bolster while also being attractive and nicely rounded. A little pricey (we’ll have to save up our puppy pennies) but probably worth it.
For fun, I thought the Moderno Bed (below) was just the thing for a loft or Manhattan apartment. Quite a commitment at about $750 but very interesting just the same.
