I really enjoyed a post that Design Sponge did yesterday about Peonies - absolutely my favorite flower – there were some ideas for arranging them and a nice background and style guide. I couldn’t help but head to my garden this morning and take a few shots of the peonies we’re expecting to open in the next week or so – they’re so lovely under this hazy sky and wet with last night’s rain. I do realize that that weed poking up between the plants is a bit of a buzz kill, but my garden is far from perfect.
They’ve been in this state for about 5 days, so I’m guessing the next warm day we have these will open. Silly, I don’t remember for the life of me which varieties these are – when I put them in they were blossoming and I basically picked pinks, white, and blush varieties – so we’ll see how this progresses.
